Construction Licensing Executive (CLE)

The B&ES has gained accreditation from the Construction Licensing Executive, thus allowing its members in Scotland and Northern Ireland to enjoy benefits broadly similar to those available in England and Wales under the TrustMark scheme.

CLE has been established to assist in the eradication of rogue traders by providing consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland with a register of reputable contractors across the construction disciplines The rigorous nature of the B&ES inspection and  assessment regime has enabled its members automatically to qualify for inclusion on the CLE register, which is being developed to cover work in the industrial and commercial as well as the domestic sector.
