Help shape future Government procurement

The Government has announced its proposed Construction Strategy and HVCA members have an opportunity to influence what happens next.

The Specialist Engineering Contractors' (SEC) Group is repeating its survey to establish whether, over the last six years, the UK’s government procurement practices have resulted in improved treatment for sub-contractors.  SEC Group conducted similar surveys in 2000 and 2005.

Please take a few minutes to fill in this simple on-line form. The results could be highly influential because the Government is asking us for this data to help it shape future procurement of public sector projects.

Members who have participated in central UK government projects since 2005, whether as a sub-contractor or as a sub-sub-contractor, are requested to respond to the survey, which refers to central government works only (e.g. prisons, hospitals, highways, military installations, social security offices) and excludes local government contracts.

Members working primarily in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland should complete the questionnaire only if their client is a UK government procurer e.g. Defence Infrastructure Organisation (formerly Defence Estates Organisation), Crown Estates, Atomic Energy Authority.
